Hi,

We use it with Microsoft data Protection MAnager - both 2010 and 2012 SP1. When we used it with DPM2010 we used to get Library Drive not functioning on regular occurrences whic caused failed backups. I hoped that this would go away with DPM 2012 SP1 but it hasnt. I therefore looked to see if their was an updated version of Firestreamer but it seems that we already have the latest one available via download - v4.0.0

Does anyone have any idea why we keep getting these "Library Drive not functioning" errors in DPM please?

Thanks

John

Forgot to mention that the "Library Drive Not Functioning" errors occur after the backups have started and data is written but it seems after some time (maybe an hour or so in_. the backup suddenly stops withis error without fully completing

Please follow the standard troubleshooting procedure. In particular, check for error or warning messages in the Activity view of the Firestreamer Snap-In.

The Activity view is reset on reboot. However, all errors and warning are also logged to the Windows Event Log (the Application log, the FsHelperSvc source).

What is the exact full text of the "Library Drive Not Functioning" error?

Please see http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... b2b5218712. The error seems to be reported when DPM performs inventory while a backup job is in progress. It has nothing to do with Firestreamer.

I am sorry to say that we are not in the position to give advice on DPM issues. The author of the article was apparently a Microsoft employee. You may want to forward your question to a Microsoft DPM specialised forum or to Microsoft Support.
