I'm getting a strange error when I run my tape job at the end of the week.

The DPM service terminated unexpectedly during completion of the job. The termination may have been caused by a system reboot. (ID 910).

This error is in the event log when this happens:

An unexpected error caused a failure for process 'msdpm'. Restart the DPM process 'msdpm'.

So basically something is happening and causing a DPM service to restart and killing my tape job. It doesn't happen all the time, but has been happening a lot lately and it only happens when doing a tape job. I can run the job manually, a few resources at a time, the following Monday after this error and they work fine. At this point I don't know if this is a firestreamer issue or a DPM issue, but I'm covering all my bases.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions? I'm already looking into contacting Microsoft, so you can skip suggesting that one. :)

I am sorry to say that contacting Microsoft is the only way to resolve the issue. Obviously there's a bug in their software that causes it to crash. It has nothing to do with Firestreamer.
