Re: DPM 2010 and firestreamer
Your description of the problem is not clear. You seem to confuse tapes with slots. Could you email us the screenshots of the Current State view of the Firestreamer Snap-In and the Maintenance/Libraries view of DPM?

Re: DPM 2010 and firestreamer
Make sure you haven't configured Firestreamer with multiple libraries. If you intentionally did so, make sure your protection groups use correct libraries, and you load tapes separately into each library (choose the library from the drop down box in the Firestreamer Snap-In). In any case, make sure ...

Re: !!!Netbackup Works With well with Firestreamer!!!
Thank you for your feedback. I am sure the users of NetBackup will find it helpful.
We however cannot claim the full compatibility with NetBackup until we are satisfied it's the case. Symantec was uncooperative in that respect in the past. Refer to Filestreamer and Netbackup? for more info.

Re: DR license requirement
You don't need a license to restore your data with Firestreamer. You do need a license for each installed copy of Firestreamer which writes to tapes.

Re: Failed Tape Backup ID 3301
How big is your backup? Is there anything written to tapes? What does the Activity log of the Firestreamer Snap-In say? What happens if you manually create a recovery point?

Re: RDX8000 with Firestreamer
The best approach would be using RDX in "drive media mode", one tape per disk. You could probably automate the whole process with a script . However, you need to thoroughly test this scenario as the drivers that come with the hardware are usually not of a high quality, so you may (or may n...

Re: DPM 2012 Error - Number of drives reported is different.
We haven't heard about that error before. Have you tried performing Rescan in DPM? You may also want to try the " dpm library checker tool ". Generally, it looks like a bug in DPM, unless you installed some software that interferes with tape drives. Please check if Windows Device Manager d...

Re: Firestreamer & Archiware P5
Unfortunately, there's little we can do at our end without the internal knowledge of Archiware, and we hear about it for the first time. You need to contact Archiware's support; they are likely to have means to create a log file for their software, from which they may be able to tell what exactly Ar...
