Re: problem automating the mounting of the tape library
As far as I understood, the problem is that when you "build a scheduled task with exactly the same command it won't run". You need to find out what fails, exactly. Redirect the output of the script to a file, and/or Insert into your script the commands that will dump debug info to a file (...

Re: problem automating the mounting of the tape library
I created c:\temp\script.ps1 with the following content: [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFrom("c:\Program files\Cristalink\FsChanger\FirestreamerInterface.dll") $FireTape = New-Object -TypeName Firestreamer.Driver.Controller $FireTape.Connect() $AllLibraries = get-dpmlibrary -dpmserverna...

Re: Cannot use new tapes created
Firestreamer does not automatically create a tape file if it doesn't exist. It's by design, to avoid accidental creation of tapes with duplicate bar codes. Apparently, either you use Firestreamer in a wrong way, with the same media layout for different drives, or some tapes were deleted outside of F...

Re: Cannot use new tapes created
I don't see this option under media, I'm running version 3.95.9 You need to upgrade to the latest version. It seems weird because one of the 4 tapes on the newest drive is working and the rest fail How did you come to this conclusion? Most likely, those 4 tapes were not accessed by DPM and therefor...

Re: Cannot use new tapes created
Follow the standard troubleshooting procedure . In particular, check the Activity view of the Firestreamer Snap-In for any error or warning messages. Do not use drive letters. In Media Layout Editor , select all media with Ctrl+A , click Media on the top menu, then click Substitute Drive Letters to ...
