Download Firestreamer
To download and install Firestreamer:
- Click the appropriate download link below.
- When prompted to run the file or open it, click Run.
- Wait for the download to complete.

IMPORTANT:
- If you have not used Firestreamer before, we strongly recommend
that you read Using
Firestreamer with Microsoft Data Protection Manager.
- If you are upgrading from Firestreamer 3.0 to a newer version, simply
run the new installer and it will upgrade the software. If you uninstall
Firestreamer 3.0 first instead of upgrading it, you may end up with
Microsoft DPM displaying multiple instances of the Firestreamer tape
drive because of the changed serial number of the drive.
- In the evaluation mode, Firestreamer will not notify you of the
expiring license, so you may want to set up a reminder in your calendar.
When the 30-day trial expires, an attempt to perform a backup to
the Firestreamer virtual tape drive will result in a "medium
write protected" error, unless you install a valid license key.
